Liza with a Z!

A stunning new picture of Liza Minnelli via TMZ! (Though someone should tell her about the wonders of electrolysis. Seriously.)

Movies I Will Never See This Christmas Season

Alvin & the Chipmunks -- Shhh. Do you hear that? Do you hear the screams of agony coming from parents having to endure sitting through a big-screen, live-action of Alvin & the %#@!ing Chipmunks?

Fred Claus -- Memo to Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti: Kill your agents. What in the hell were you two thinking?

The Golden Compass -- I can hear the pitch meeting now. "Hey, let's spend $150 million on a film based on a trilogy of novels about the death of God! We'll make billions, particularly from those folks in flyover country!"

Bee Movie -- Now, this is inventive. A computer-animated family movie featuring talking animals and insects! That's never been done before! Genius!

P.S. I Love You -- Another chick flick along the lines of Ghost. In other words, a cinematic version of the runs.

Sorry, I've been lacking in posts for the past week, but RG's been busy.

It's the time of year for Top Ten Films of 2007 Lists, and though there are loads of movies from this year I have yet to see*, I've decided to list the Top Eight Films I've seen so far this year.

1. No Country for Old Men
2. Michael Clayton
3. Zodiac
4. The Darjeeling Limited
5. We Own the Night
6. The Bourne Ultimatum
7. Into the Wild
8. Eastern Promises

*Highly-touted movies from 2007 I have yet to see: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, There Will Be Blood, Control, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Once, and 4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days. (I know the first three on this list will be terrific.)
